    I had no idea that the sport of paintball was so sophisticated!

    tippmannI found an article on the Tippman forum which is one of the most detailed introductions to the sport of paintball and paintball equipment that I have ever seen.

    (A few notes, before you read the article:

    1. Although much of this article refers specially to Tippmann equipment, the basic concepts and theories are, for the most part, universal.
    2. As I said, this is a very “detailed” introduction to paintball – so  detailed, indeed, that it may tend to be intimidating to those interested in getting started in the sport.
    3. Don’t be intimidated . . . much of the information and “theory” presented in this article is far more than you need to know to just go out and have fun with the sport.  (Do not, however, disregard the safety information and warnings).
    4. The referenced Tippman gear (and other quality paintball equipment) is available at EGF Paintball).
