Residents of and visitors to Playa Flamingo are blessed with some of the best restaurants and bars in Costa Rica.

Marie’s and Mar y Sol are perennial favorites.  The restaurants at the Flamingo Beach Resort and Flamingo Marina Resort are wonderful!  Angelina’s is definitely a favorite of mine (even if they do call me an “old hag” – sticks and stones may break my bones, but good food is good food).

For casual dining, you’ve got the Mariner Inn (the club sandwich is killer) and the newly re-opened Flamingo Pizza & Subs (try the ham & pineapple pizza).

(If I forgot anyone, I apologize).

NOW . . .  (drum roll) tonight is the much-anticipated grand opening of Yellowfin Lounge, at La Plaza in Playa Flamingo.  The festivities start at 7:00 p.m.

I expect that it will be superb! With Roy (the best bartender in the world) as your host, how can it be anything but!
