Extended List of Search Options

Along with the Quick Search option, visitors to the site will be able to use the Advanced Search form specifying detailed property criteria.  Search results can be sorted by means of different parameters.

Site users can save advanced search criteria and load them the next time they are browsing for properties. Site visitors can also set Search Preferences for the  Quick Search form that ise inserted into the Quick Search form fields automatically evert time the quick search form is displayed on the page.

Site members can now search by listing id.

Search by keywords is another search option that allows visitors to search by keywords from listing descriptions, headlines, comments, loaded files, locatiosn and listing owners’ info.

‘Varibles matching my criteria’  is a search option that allows visters to search using listing’s criteria.

Property description

Property descriptions are made up of a wide list of characteristics.

Photos and videos can be added to a listing. You can set the order the display of photos, choose the photo that will be displayed as the default and add comments to each photo.

Videos added to a listing are stored in flv. format which allows site visitors to view video files right on the site (much like on YouTube).

Virtual Tour

This new feature allows members to create panoramic tours of their property, composed of panoramic images. (Listings with linked virtual tours receive as much as 40% more views than those without virtual tours!)

Each listing has a printable version,  a ‘send to a friend’ option, and an option to add a listing to a comparison list. Rental listings include an internal calendar that displays booked and available days.

Listing owners can mark a listing as ‘Sold’ or ‘Leased’.

Import/export of listings.

Site members can now import or export their listings using a csv. file.

Maps

If the location of the property is indicated, it can be viewed on a map.

• Google amenities display on the map.  Restaurants, Shops, Hospitals, Fitness Centers etc with custom icons added.
• Google Driving Directions.  Get driving directions from one location to another.
• Change the location of a property on a map.  This new feature lets you fix inaccurate address: you just have to move the marker and choose a new location.

New languages:  Due to popular demand, the site is now available in German and Russian . . . Apparently, there is presently a high interest in Costa Rica from German and Russian speaking people.  (We’re working on adding Spanish . . . but, for now, most buyers/renters are English, German or Russian speaking.  (A surprise to me . . . although good news for members, because these languages will open up the site to people from many other countries where the German or Russian language is used more than English (or Spanish) . . . Holland, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Italy, Liechtenstein, Poland, Switzerland, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Estonia, Israel, Latvia, etc.)
